Friendly China-India Ties Promote Peace and Development in Asia and the World: WPA Sec-Gen

China and India, the two most populous countries on earth, must develop friendly ties to ensure not just peace in the region, but also peace in the world, says World Peace Association Secretary-General Sattva Zhang.

Speaking in a video address after the recent border conflict between China and India, Ms. Zhang urged the leaders of both countries to remain calm. She believes that “The only bright path forward is paved with good hearts and virtuous intentions.” Saving face will not save lives, she admonishes. “The whole world must join hands. Let go of our selfishness together. There is the great spirit of love and many social responsibilities on our shoulders. (If we manage these,) then your country will be good. People all around the world can be happy and healthy,” says Ms. Zhang.
