Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Joins Hands With World Peace Association
The World Peace Association is proud to announce that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a humanitarian, spiritual leader and an ambassador of peace has agreed to become our mentor and join the organization's mission to work towards achieving world peace.
Ravi Shankar is an Indian spiritual leader, most famously known as the founder of the Art of Living, a volunteer-based NGO that provides social support to people of all faiths. He is frequently and respectfully referred to as "Sri Sri" or as Guruji or Gurudev.
The most valuable thing in this world is life; the cruelest is murder. War creates nothing but ruin and scorched earth. War makes bloodshed like water. War leaves the land barren and silent but for the cries of mourning. For too many around the world the horrors of war still remain a part of life. Every day people lose their homes, overtaken by grief, despair, and destitution. In their helplessness, they long for divine salvation.
The World Peace Association is committed to conducting spiritual salvation and to coordinating humanitarian relief to help those who find themselves deprived of the bare necessities of living. We have been building bridges between countries through diverse avenues including religious ceremonies, local charity events, diplomatic conferences, and arts and cultural exchanges.
But without the support of great leaders like Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, there is only so much we can do.
Guruji's support will create tremendous momentum for us in our striving for world peace. We have long admired his work and great virtue; therefore, on behalf of World Peace Association we hereby sincerely welcome and appreciate his gesture of agreeing to be our mentor. Together, we will spread the message of peace to every corner of the world.
