Welcoming The Buddhist Delegation to India

New Delhi, Delhi — The relationship between India and China has evolved over the past few years. To foster a healthy discussion and defuse tensions, the World Peace Association together with the local Ministry of Tourism hosted a reception to welcome the Buddhist delegation at the Lalit Hotel on October 1st, 2019.

Important leaders like Master Jing-Yao, Jian-Ying, Hung-An and Chan-An along with 40 other guests from Taiwan were present at the event today. Ms. Meenakshi Sharma, Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Mr. Divay Pranav, Vice President, Invest India, and Mr. Irfan Alam, Member Secretary, India China Economic and Cultural Council among others also spoke at the event.

The aim was to promote an effective discussion focused on improving India-China relations by encouraging cultural exchange and tourism. The development of a peace meditation resort in Bodhgaya was also an important topic covered at the gathering.

The resort will help boost tourism in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, as well as function as a getaway for people looking to attain peace through meditation. It will also serve as a bridge between Indian and Chinese culture. Body Gaya Peace Resort will be the world's first zen luxury vacation destination.  

The world is fractured by war, economic inequalities and spreading mistrust. But it's also more interdependent than ever.
